    SalesLeads experienced research team identified 457 new planned industrial projects during the month of April 2017. Below are a few of highlights on major projects and trends.

    Most New Active Industrial Projects:

    Texas led the way with 33 new planned industrial projects. Followed by California with 30, Michigan and New York each with 23, and Florida rounding out the top 5 with 21 new projects.

     

    Most Active Sectors:

    "OEM Manufacturing" led the way with 103 new planned projects. The "Food and Beverage" sector was not far behind with 61 new projects, followed by 33 "Building Materials" sector projects, and 31 "Consumer Goods Manufacturing" sector projects. 

     

    Most Active Company:

    Amazon.com, Inc. was the most active company, with 5 new planned fulfillment centers in the US. 

     

    Largest Planned Project:

    During the month of April, our research team identified 28 new industrial projects with an estimated investment value of $100 million or more. The largest planned project is owned by a joint venture between Exxon Mobil Corp. and Sabic Corp., with a $9.3 billion petrochemical production complex in Corpus Christi, TX in the planning stages.

    KENTUCKY: Aluminum Products Mfr. - $1.3 billion - New Plant - Planning/Design Phase

    NEW YORK: Communication Equipment Mfr. - Plant Expansion - Conceptual Phase>

    NORTH CAROLINA: Automotive Parts Mfr. - $40 million - Plant Expansion/Modenization - Permitting Phase

    OHIO: Canned Food Mfr. - $78 million - New Distribution Center - Planning/Design Phase

    TEXAS: Plastic Film Mfg. - $17 million - New Plant and Relocation - Permitting Phase

    WISCONSIN: Computer Hardware Mfr. - $18.3 million - Plant Expansion/Modernization - Planning/Design Phase
