    Industrial SalesLeads announced today the February 2024 results for the new planned capital project spending report for the Distribution and Supply Chain industry. The Firm tracks North American planned industrial capital project activity; including facility expansions, new plant construction and significant equipment modernization projects. Research confirms 159 new projects in the Distribution and Supply Chain sector down from 191 in January 2024.

    Largest Planned Project

    During the month of February, our research team identified 4 new Distribution and Supply Chain facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned by Publix Super Markets Inc., who is planning to invest $145 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a recently acquired 168,500 sf processing and warehouse facility at 200 Accolade Ave. in ST. JOHNS, FL. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for late 2026. 

    Top 10 Tracked Distribution and Supply Chain Project Opportunities

    Indiana:

    Recycled paper products mfr. is planning to invest $130 million for the construction of a 350,000 sf manufacturing and warehouse facility on Park Rd. in ANDERSON, IN. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    Missouri:

    Logistics service provider is planning to invest $127 million for the construction of a 335,000 sf warehouse facility in KANSAS CITY, MO. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in Summer 2024.

    Alabama:

    Aerospace and industrial investment management firm is planning for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a recently acquired 2.2 million sf manufacturing, hangar, and warehouse complex at 1200 Haley Dr. in CHEROKEE, AL. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    Maryland:

    Electrical products supplier is planning to invest $87 million for the expansion of their distribution facility in UPPER MARLBORO, MD by 162,000 sf. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    Mississippi:

    Cold chain logistics service provider is planning to invest $73 million for the construction of a 150,000 sf warehouse at the Port of Gulfport in GULFPORT, MS. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in late 2024.

    Louisiana:

    Tire recycling company is planning to invest $46 million for the construction of a processing and warehouse facility at the Port of Louisiana in RESERVE, LA. They have recently received approval for the project.

    Michigan:

    Non-profit organization is planning to invest $45 million for a 130,000 sf expansion and renovations on a warehouse and office facility at 7600 East Jefferson Ave. in DETROIT, MI. Construction is expected to start in Summer 2024 and they will relocate their operations upon completion.

    Iowa:

    Logistics service provider is planning to invest $40 million for a 154,000 sf expansion and equipment upgrades on their warehouse facility in SIOUX CITY, IA. They have recently received approval for the project.

    Maryland:

    Online restaurant supply store is planning for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a recently leased 1.2 million sf distribution center in HAGERSTOWN, MD. 

    Texas:

    Industrial supplies distributor is planning for the construction of a 1.2 million sf distribution center in HOCKLEY, TX. Construction is expected to start in Spring 2024, with completion slated for 2026.
