Email is a highly effective sales channel for waste removal sales. According to one study, B2B emails have a 47% higher click-through rate (CTR) than their B2C counterparts. While you can send emails to prospective buyers without obtaining their permission, though, you'll get better results using an opt-in form. An opt-in form means that prospective buyers provides you with their name and address before you can send them emails. It adds another step to the process of engaging prospective buyers, but using opt-in emails is beneficial for several reasons.

    Increased Engagement

Using opt-in emails increases sales lead engagement. With opt-in emails, prospective buyers must explicitly elect to receive emails from your waste removal company. They'll complete a form with fields for their name and address. As a result, prospective buyers will be more engaged. They'll open more of your emails, click more links in your emails and respond to more of your emails. With increased engagement such as this, you'll generate more sales leads and ultimately sales. Failure to use opt-in emails, on the other hand, will dilute the performance of this marketing channel, leaving you fewer sales leads to show for it.

    Required By Email Marketing Providers

If you use an email marketing provider, such as Mailchimp or Active Campaign, you'll have to use opt-in emails. All of the major email marketing providers require the use of opt-in emails. In other words, you can't use their services to engage prospective buyers with emails until they complete your waste removal company's opt-in form. Rather, you'll have to obtain their permission beforehand via opt-in. Only after obtaining a prospective buyer's permission can use an email marketing provider to engage him or her with emails with sales purposes.

    Allow for Opt-Out

When you use opt-in emails, you can allow prospective buyers to opt-out as well. Why is this necessary? Well, there are laws that require companies to stop sending emails to recipients upon request. Known as the CAN-SPAM Act, it's a key piece of legislation that all companies must follow.

    Easier to Track

You can track your emails more easily if you use opt-in emails. As mentioned above, email marketing providers require you to use opt-in emails. When using their services, you'll be able to track key performance indicators (KPIs) like open rates, CTRs, conversion rates and more. If you don't use opt-in emails, you won't be able to leverage these KPIs in your email marketing strategy. In turn, your waste removal emails will generate fewer sales and drive less revenue for your waste removal company.

Send eMails to Project Report Contacts

Another way to make your email's work hard is to send them to the contacts on the Project Reports. You already know there's a project going on, now you need to educate and keep in front of the sales lead. Customize and personalize these emails and educate them on your waste removal offerings. This will help keep you top of mind, as well as keep nurturing into the sales cycle.
