    Largest Planned Industrial Construction Project

    During the month of July, our research team identified 22 new General Industrial facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned by Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, LLC, who is planning to invest $8 billion for the construction of a petrochemical plant and processing complex. They are currently seeking a site in the Gulf Coast area of LA or TX.

     

    Top 10 Tracked Industrial Construction Projects

    NEW MEXICO:

    Electric utility service provider is planning to invest $5 billion for the construction of a 280MW natural gas fired power plant in WATERFLOW, NM. They will close their coal fired power plant currently in WATERFLOW, NM. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    TENNESSEE:

    EV battery mfr. is considering investing $2 billion for the construction of a manufacturing facility and currently seeking a site in TENNESSEE. 

    FLORIDA:

    Municipality is investing $2 billion for the renovation and equipment upgrades on their wastewater treatment plant in MIAMI, FL. They are also considering a future relocation and the construction of a new facility and currently seeking a site in MIAMI, FL.

    OHIO:

    Energy company is planning to invest $120 million for the construction of waste-to-energy processing plants at multiple sites in OHIO.

    NORTH CAROLINA:

    Pharmaceutical company is planning to invest $680 million for the construction of a 225,000 sf laboratory and processing facility in DURHAM, NC. The project also includes the expansion of their processing facility in WILSON, NC. They have recently received approval for the project.

    MICHIGAN:

    Semiconductor equipment mfr. is planning to invest $150 million for the construction of a 230,000 sf office and manufacturing facility in ANN ARBOR, MI. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for Summer 2021. 

    MISSOURI:

    Agricultural research company is planning to invest $164 million for an expansion of their office and processing facility in CREVE COEUR, MO. They have recently received approval for the project. They plan to relocate operations from their location in RALEIGH, NC upon completion in Fall 2020.

    ARIZONA:

    Athletic apparel and accessories mfr. is planning to invest $185 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a manufacturing facility in GOODYEAR, AZ. They are currently seeking approval for the project. 

    WISCONSIN:

    Pharmaceutical company is planning to invest $250 million for the construction of a 100,000 sf processing facility in PLEASANT PRAIRIE, WI. Construction is expected to start in Fall 2019, with completion slated for 2022.

    VIRGINIA:

    Truck mfr. is expanding and planning to invest $400 million for the construction of a 350,000 sf manufacturing facility in DUBLIN, VA. The project also includes the renovation and equipment upgrades of their existing facilities at the same location. They have recently received approval for the project.
