    Largest Planned Project

     During the month of October, our research team identified 8 new Industrial Manufacturing facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

     The largest project is owned by General Motors, who is planning to invest $1.5 billion for an expansion, renovation, and equipment upgrades of their manufacturing facility at 1500 Highway A in Wentzville, MO. They have recently received approval for the project.

     

    Top 10 Tracked Industrial Manufacturing Projects

    GEORGIA:

    Metal packaging products mfr. is planning to invest $218 million for a 250,000 sf expansion and equipment upgrades of their manufacturing facility on Ball Dr. in ROME, GA. They have recently received approval for the project. Construction will occur in two phases, completion is slated for late 2020.

    INDIANA:

    Cement company is investing $600 million for the construction of a processing facility in MITCHELL, IN. Construction has recently started, with completion slated for Summer 2022.

    ALABAMA:

    Wood pellet mfr. is planning to invest $175 million for the construction of a manufacturing facility in EPES, AL. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in early 2020, with completion slated for early 2021.

    ARIZONA:

    Nutritional supplements mfr. is planning to invest $150 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades a recently acquired 397,000 sf warehouse and processing facility in PHOENIX, AZ.

    NEW YORK:

    Specialty development firm is planning to invest $315 million for the construction of a recycled containerboard processing facility at 1900 River Road in CASTLETON-ON-HUDSON, NY. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for early 2022.

    QUEBEC:

    Aircraft mfr. is planning to invest $135 million to establish an office, warehouse, manufacturing, and storage facility in BOISBRIAND, QC. They expect to be operational in Fall 2020.

     KENTUCKY:

    Automotive parts mfr. is investing $40 million and has recently started the construction of a manufacturing facility in RICHMOND, KY. Completion is slated for June 2020.

     MAINE:

    Specialty wood products mfr. is planning to invest $31 million for the construction of a 300,000 sf manufacturing facility in LINCOLN, ME. They have recently acquired the site for the project.

    CALIFORNIA:

    Specialty robotics equipment mfr. is expanding and planning for the construction of a 915,000 sf manufacturing complex at the Port of West Sacramento in WEST SACRAMENTO, CA. They are currently seeking approval for the project. They plan to relocate operations upon completion.

    TEXAS:

    Specialty healthcare service provider is planning to invest $37 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a 150,000 sf manufacturing facility in KYLE, TX. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for February 2020.
