    Largest Planned Industrial Construction Project

    During the month of September, our research team identified 29 new General Industrial facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more. 

    The largest project is owned by Aptive PLC, who is planning to invest $4 billion to establish an office and technology research center in Boston, MA.

     

    Top 10 Tracked Industrial Construction Projects

    NEW YORK:

    Semiconductor components mfr. is planning to invest $1 billion for the construction of a 480,000 sf manufacturing facility in MARCY, NY. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for 2022. 

    NEW JERSEY:

    Healthcare service provider is investing $714 million and has recently started a 530,000 sf expansion and the renovation of their laboratory and medical facility at 60 2nd Street in HACKENSACK, NJ. Construction is expected to be completed in 2022. 

    CALIFORNIA:

    Municipality is investing $500 million for the construction of a new wastewater treatment processing plant in SAN MATEO, CA. Construction has recently started, with completion slated for 2024. 

    OHIO:

    Energy company is planning to invest $1.6 billion for the construction of a 1,875MW natural gas-fired power plant in GUERNSEY COUNTY, OH. 

    OREGON:

    Biofuel mfr. is planning to invest $1 billion for the construction of a processing facility in CLATSKANIE, OR. They are currently seeking approval for the project. They plan to be operational in early 2022. 

    QUEBEC:

    Port Authority is planning to invest $775 million for the construction of a container terminal in QUEBEC CITY, QC. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for late 2024. 

    TEXAS:

    Petrochemical company is planning to invest $3 billion for the construction of a processing facility in HOUSTON, TX. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in Fall 2020, with completion slated for 2024. 

    WEST VIRGINIA:

    Energy company is planning to invest $1 billion for the construction of a processing facility in POINT PLEASANT, WV. They have recently received approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in Fall 2019. 

    WYOMING:

    Oil and gas company is planning to invest $300 million for an expansion of their ash processing facility at 580 Westvaco Rd. in GREEN RIVER, WY. Construction is expected to start in October 2019, with completion slated for Spring 2022. 

    NORTH CAROLINA:

    University is expanding and planning to invest $300 million for the construction of multiple institutional, laboratory, and office facilities on their campus in HIGH POINT, NC.
