    SalesLeads announced today the September 2020 results for the new planned capital project spending report for the Distribution and Supply Chain industry. The Firm tracks North American planned industrial capital project activity; including facility expansions, new plant construction and significant equipment modernization projects. Research confirms 196 new projects in the Distribution and Supply Chain sector.

    Planned industrial project activity within the sector decreased by 6% from the previous month, but is up 10% YTD from the previous year.

    Largest Planned Project

    During the month of September, our research team identified 3 new Distribution and Supply Chain facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned by Lidestri Food & Drink, who is planning to invest $314 million for the construction of a greenhouse, processing, and distribution complex in EARLY BRANCH, SC. They have recently received approval for the project. Construction will occur in phases, with completion of the first phase slated for 2022.

    Florida:

    Industrial materials recycling company is planning for the construction of a 500,000 sf warehouse and sorting facility on State Road 52 in PASCO COUNTY, FL. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

     

    Missouri:

    Nonprofit organization is planning for the construction of a 230,000 sf distribution center on James River Fwy. in REPUBLIC, MO. They have recently received approval for the project.

     

    North Carolina:

    Home furnishings retailer is planning to invest $38.5 million for the construction of a 736,000 sf distribution center in NEWTON, NC. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

     

    North Dakota:

    Global online retailer is planning for the construction of a 1 million sf distribution center in FARGO, ND. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for August 2021.

     

    Ontario:

    Global online retailer is planning for the construction of an 855,000 sf distribution center in MOUNT HOPE, ON and a 50,000 sf warehouse in STONEY CREEK, ON. Completion is slated for 2021.

     

    South Carolina:

    Logistics service provider is planning to invest $34 million for an expansion of their refrigerated warehouse and distribution facility in NORTH CHARLESTON, SC. Completion is slated for Summer 2021.

     

    Texas:

    Logistics company is planning for the expansion of their distribution facility at 9890 Bonnie View Road in DALLAS, TX by 595,000 sf. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for Summer 2021.
