    Largest Planned Industrial Construction Project

    During the month of March, our research team identified 25 new General Industrial facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned by Contemporary Amperex Technology USA, Inc., who is planning to invest $5 billion for the construction of a manufacturing facility and is currently seeking a site in TEXAS.

    Top 10 Tracked Industrial Construction Projects

    ARIZONA:

    Battery mfr. is planning to invest $2.8 billion for the construction of a 1 million sf manufacturing facility on Germann Rd. in QUEEN CREEK, AZ. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for late 2024.

    MICHIGAN:

    Battery components mfr. is planning to invest $2 billion for an expansion of their manufacturing facility in HOLLAND, MI. They have recently received approval for the project.

    ONTARIO:

    Automotive mfr. is planning to invest $1.1 billion for the renovation and equipment upgrades on their manufacturing facility in ALLISTON, ON. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    ARIZONA:

    Electric utility service provider is planning to invest $953 million for an expansion of their gas-fired power plant in COOLIDGE, AZ. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    IDAHO:

    Solar energy company is planning to invest $500 million for the construction of a 300 MW solar farm in AMERICAN FALLS, ID. Construction is expected to start in 2023 and will occur in multiple phases, with completion slated for 2024.

    QUEBEC:

    Automotive mfr. is planning to invest $400 million for the construction of an EV battery components manufacturing facility in BECANCOUR, QC. Construction is expected to start in early 2023.

    MARYLAND:

    Medical supply company is planning to invest $350 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a 735,000 sf warehouse and manufacturing facility in SPARROWS POINT, MD. Completion is slated for early 2023.

    NEW YORK:

    Global online retailer is planning to invest $300 million for the construction of a 3 million sf warehouse and distribution center at 8995 Lockport Rd. in NIAGARA, NY. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

     GEORGIA:

    Beverage company is planning to invest $260 million for a 260,000 sf expansion and equipment upgrade at their processing facility in STONE MOUNTAIN, GA. They have recently received approval for the project.

    NEW MEXICO:

    Aerospace company is planning to invest $254 million for the construction of a manufacturing facility in ALBUQUERQUE, NM. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for 2024.
