IMI, SalesLeads released a year in review for 2021 for the U.S. and Canada. We uncovered a total of 5,400 projects from January 1 through December 31, 2021. The Firm tracks North American planned industrial capital project activity.

The following are selected highlights:

• New projects remained steady in 2021 in comparison to 2020
• New projects decreased by 9% in comparison to 2019
• Over 2,300 new industrial construction projects were identified 
• Strong performance for companies investing in renovations and equipment upgrades
