    IMI SalesLeads announced today the October 2022 results for the new planned capital project spending report for the Food and Beverage industry. The Firm tracks North American planned industrial capital project activity; including facility expansions, new plant construction and significant equipment modernization projects. Research confirms 71 new projects in October, compared to 80 new projects in September for the Food and Beverage sector.

    Largest Planned Project

    During the month of October, our research team identified 4 new Food and Beverage facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned by Manna Beverages & Ventures, who is planning to invest $600 million for the construction of a 1.7 million sf processing, distribution, and laboratory complex in MONTGOMERY, AL. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for 2025.

    Top 10 Tracked Food and Beverage Projects

    KANSAS:

    Beverage company is planning to invest $250 million for the construction of a 600,000 sf processing facility at 171st St. in OLATHE, KS. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in Spring 2023 and they will relocate their production operations upon completion in late 2024.

    NORTH CAROLINA:

    Food processing and packaging company is planning to invest $85 million for the construction of a processing facility in LAURINBURG, NC. They have recently received approval for the project.

    WISCONSIN:

    Cocoa product mfr. is planning to invest $30 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a leased 44,000 sf processing company at 9705 S. Oakwood Park Dr. in FRANKLIN, WI. They have recently received approval for the project.

    ILLINOIS:

    Non-profit organization is planning to invest $27 million for a 38,000 sf expansion of their processing facility in CHICAGO, IL. They have recently received approval for the project.

    CALIFORNIA:

    Food and beverage distributor is planning for the construction of a 372,000 sf distribution center at 7415 Lone Tree Rd. in SACRAMENTO, CA. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    TENNESSEE:

    Poultry processing company is planning to invest $15 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a processing facility at 241 Elkins Rd. in CARYVILLE, TN. They are currently seeking approval for the project. 

    IOWA:

    Specialty egg product mfr. is planning to invest $11 million for the expansion and equipment upgrades at their processing facility in PANORA, IA. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    MASSACHUSETTS:

    Seafood company is planning for the construction of a 90,000 sf processing and warehouse facility at 10 Codfish Way in BOSTON, MA. They have recently received approval for the project. They will relocate their operations upon completion.

    NEW JERSEY:

    Bakery product wholesaler is planning for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a recently acquired 74,000 sf warehouse at 110 Minue St. in CARTERET, NJ. They will relocate operations upon completion. 

    ALABAMA:

    Foodbank is planning to invest $10 million for a 65,000 sf expansion of their warehouse facility at 65th St. in TUSCALOOSA, AL. They are currently seeking approval for the project. They will relocate their operations upon completion.
