    Largest Planned Industrial Construction Project

    During the month of July, our research team identified 38 new General Industrial facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned by Formosa Plastics Corporation, who is planning to invest $12 billion for the construction of a processing facility in ST. JAMES, LA. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in Summer 2024.

    Top 10 Tracked Industrial Construction Projects

    TEXAS:

    Natural gas company is planning to invest $11 billion for the construction of a liquefied natural gas processing facility in BROWNSVILLE, TX. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    CALIFORNIA:

    Semiconductor mfr. is planning to invest $2 billion for the expansion, renovation, and equipment upgrades on their manufacturing facility at 7501 Foothills Blvd. in ROSEVILLE, CA. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for 2026.

    ARIZONA:

    Electric utility service provider is planning to invest $955 million for the expansion of their gas-fired power plant in COOLIDGE, AZ. They have recently received approval for the project.

    TENNESSEE:

    Automotive component mfr. is planning to invest $790 million for the construction of two manufacturing and warehouse facilities totaling 940,000 sf in STANTON, TN. The project includes the construction of a 400,000 sf manufacturing facility in LAWRENCEBURG, TN. Completion is slated for 2025.

    NEBRASKA:

    Start up chemical company is planning to invest $750 million for the construction of a liquid fertilizer processing facility in GOTHENBURG, NE. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in early 2024, with completion slated for early 2026.

    TEXAS:

    Hydroponic agricultural service provider is planning to invest $670 million for the construction of multiple processing facilities totaling 13 million sf on a 700-acre site in LUBBOCK, TX. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    QUEBEC:

    Graphite product mfr. is planning to invest $500 million for the construction of a processing facility in BAIE-COMEAU, QC. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for 2026.

    ILLINOIS:

    Food and beverage company is planning to invest $400 million for the construction of a 775,000 sf distribution center in DEKALB, IL. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for 2025. 

    ALBERTA:

    Mining company is planning to invest $400 million for the construction of a mining facility in NORTHERN SUNRISE COUNTY, AB. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    ARKANSAS:

    Agricultural and industrial chemical mfr. is planning to invest $400 million for the construction of a processing and warehouse facility in EL DORADO, AR. The project also includes the renovation and equipment upgrades on their existing plants in EL DORADO, AR. They are currently seeking approval for the project.
