    SalesLeads announced today the October 2020 results for the new planned capital project spending report for the Food and Beverage industry. The Firm tracks North American planned industrial capital project activity; including facility expansions, new plant construction and significant equipment modernization projects. Research confirms 66 new projects in the Food and Beverage sector.

    Planned industrial project activity within the sector decreased by 3% from the previous month, and is down 15% YTD from the previous year.

    During the month of October, our research team identified 4 new Food and Beverage facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned by Nestle Purina Petcare, who is planning to invest $550 million for the construction of a 1-million sf processing facility in WILLIAMSBURG TOWNSHIP, OH. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for 2023.

    IOWA:

    Agricultural cooperative is planning to invest $270 million for the construction of a processing plant in SHELL ROCK, IA. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for 2022.

    NORTH CAROLINA:

    Wholesale grocery distributor is planning to invest $120 million for a 200,000 sf expansion, renovation, and equipment upgrades at their distribution facility in HICKORY, NC. They have recently received approval for the project.

    FLORIDA:

    Specialty beverage mfr. is planning to invest $30 million for the expansion and equipment upgrades of their processing facility in KISSIMMEE, FL. They have recently received approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in late 2020, with completion slated for Summer 2021.

    ONTARIO:

    Specialty alcohol producer is planning to invest $75 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on their processing facility in JOHNSTOWN, ON. They have recently received approval for the project.

    COLORADO:

    Hydroponic farming company is planning for the construction of a 75,000 sf growing and processing facility in DENVER, CO. Completion is slated for 2021.

    GEORGIA:

    Frozen food products supplier is planning to invest $15 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a 55,000 sf processing, warehouse, and office facility at 119 Andersonville Road in AMERICUS, GA. Completion is slated for early 2021.

    KANSAS:

    Snack food mfr. is planning to invest $24 million for the construction of a 145,000 sf processing facility in LAWRENCE, KS. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    CALIFORNIA:

    Dried nut processing company is planning to invest $15 million for a 204,000 sf expansion and the renovation of their warehouse and processing complex at 5043 North Montpelier Rd. in DENAIR, CA. They have recently received approval for the project. 

    PENNSYLVANIA:

    Produce company is planning to invest $20 million for the construction of a 263,000 sf warehouse, growing, and processing facility on Lorain Dr. in PENN TOWNSHIP, PA. They have recently received approval for the project.

    NEW YORK:

    Grocery store is planning for the construction of a 37,000 sf growing and processing facility at 3131 Transit Rd. in ELMA, NY. They are currently seeking approval for the project.
