    Largest Planned Project

    During the month of November, our research team identified 4 new Distribution and Supply Chain facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned by Trex Company, Inc., who is planning to invest $400 million for the construction of a manufacturing, processing, warehouse, and office facility at Little Rock Port in LITTLE ROCK, AR. Construction is expected to start in early 2022, with completion slated for 2024.

     

    Top 10 Tracked Distribution and Supply Chain Project Opportunities

    Texas:

    Global online retailer is planning to invest $130 million for the construction of a 519,000 sf distribution center at 2250 N. I-35 in GEORGETOWN, TX. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in early 2022, with completion slated for early Spring 2023.

    Virginia:

    Snack food mfr. is planning to invest $123 million for the construction of a 490,000 sf warehouse and distribution center in RICHMOND, VA. The project includes a 68,000 sf expansion and equipment upgrades of their existing processing facility in RICHMOND, VA. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    Iowa:

    Global shipping company is planning to invest $109 million for the construction of a 479,000 sf distribution facility at 1035 Commerce Park Dr. SW in CEDAR RAPIDS, IA. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for late 2022.

    Arizona:

    Aerospace company is planning to invest $70 million for the construction of a 225,000 sf warehouse, office, and maintenance facility at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in MESA, AZ. Completion is slated for 2023.

    Wisconsin:

    Cheese mfr. is planning to invest $60 million for the construction of a 350,000 sf distribution facility at South 27th St. in FRANKLIN, WI. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    Alabama:

    Global shipping company is planning to invest $57 million for the construction of a 317,000 sf warehouse and distribution facility on Sam Houston Blvd. in DOTHAN, AL. Completion is slated for late 2022.

    Indiana:

    Automotive mfr. is planning to invest $52 million for the construction of a 500,000 sf warehouse on Manufacturers Dr. in LAFAYETTE, IN. They have recently received approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in early Spring 2022, with completion slated for late 2022.

    Utah:

    Food bank is planning to invest $40 million for the construction of a warehouse and distribution facility in SALT LAKE CITY, UT. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    North Carolina:

    Shipping pallet mfr. is planning to invest $40 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a recently leased 253,000 sf warehouse and manufacturing facility in MOCKSVILLE, NC. Completion is slated for Summer 2022.

    New York:
    Wine distributor is planning to invest $40 million for the construction of a 500,000 sf production and warehouse facility in GOSHEN, NY. They are currently seeking approval for the project.
