The Firm tracks North American planned industrial capital project activity; including facility expansions, new plant construction and significant equipment modernization projects. Research confirms 186 new projects as compared to 190 new projects in February 2022 in the Distribution and Supply Chain sector.

    Largest Planned Project

    During the month of June, our research team identified 8 new Distribution and Supply Chain facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned by Arbor Renewable Gas, LLC., who is investing $800 million for the construction of a processing and distribution facility in BATON ROUGE, LA. Construction is expected to start in late 2023, with phase I completion slated for late 2025.

     

    Top 10 Tracked Distribution and Supply Chain Project Opportunities

    Texas:

    Startup production studio is planning to invest $267 million for the construction of an 820,000 sf warehouse, office, and production complex at 6202 W. Centerpoint Rd. in SAN MARCOS, TX. They have recently received approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in Spring 2023, with completion slated for 2025.

    Ontario:

    Food and pharmacy retail chain is planning to invest $170 million for the construction of a 1.2 million sf distribution center in EAST GWILLIMBURY, ON. Completion is slated for early 2024.

    Georgia:

    Cold storage service provider is planning to invest $150 million for the construction of a 275,000 sf warehouse and distribution facility at 917 Joe Tamplin Industrial Blvd. in MACON, GA. Construction will occur in multiple phases, with the completion of phase I slated for Summer 2023.

    Georgia:

    Industrial equipment mfr. is planning to invest $140 million for the construction of a 650,000 sf warehouse and manufacturing facility in GAINESVILLE, GA. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in 2022. Completion is slated for late Summer 2024.

    Arkansas:

    Home improvement retail chain is investing $105 million and has recently started the construction of a 1.2 million sf warehouse and distribution facility in NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR. Completion is slated for early 2023.

    Wisconsin:

    Cheese products mfr. is planning to invest $60 million for an expansion and equipment upgrades at their processing and distribution facility in OOSTBURG, WI. They have recently received approval for the project.

    Michigan:

    Automotive mfr. is planning to invest $52 million for the construction of a warehouse, testing, and research laboratory in SUPERIOR TOWNSHIP, MI. Completion is slated for Fall 2023.

    North Carolina:

    Industrial coating and adhesive mfr. is planning to invest $47 million for the construction of a 100,000 sf manufacturing, warehouse, and office facility in MONROE, NC. They have recently received approval for the project.

    Tennessee:

    Outdoor power equipment mfr. is planning to invest $38 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a warehouse and manufacturing facility at 1810 Wilson Pkwy. in FAYETTEVILLE, TN. They have recently received approval for the project.

    Missouri:

    Food and beverage company is planning to invest $34 million for an expansion and equipment upgrades on their warehouse and processing facility in KIRKSVILLE, MO. Completion is slated for late Spring 2023.
