    SalesLeads announced today the July 2023 results for the new planned capital project spending report for the Food and Beverage industry. The Firm tracks North American planned industrial capital project activity; including facility expansions, new plant construction and significant equipment modernization projects. Research confirms 78 new projects in the Food and Beverage sector as compared to 79 in June.

    Largest Planned Project

    During the month of July, our research team identified 6 new Food and Beverage facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned by Plant Agricultural Systems, who is planning to invest $670 million for the construction of multiple processing facilities totaling 13 million sf on a 700-acre site in LUBBOCK, TX. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    Top 10 Tracked Food and Beverage Projects

    GEORGIA:

    Specialty milk beverage mfr. is planning to invest $305 million for the construction of a processing facility in CARTERSVILLE, GA. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for 2026.

    MISSOURI:

    Food service distributor is planning to invest $117 million for the construction of a 350,000 sf distribution facility at 5321 Hern Ave. in ST. LOUIS, MO. They are currently seeking approval for the project. They will relocate their operations upon completion.

    INDIANA:

    Global retail chain is planning to invest $108 million for the expansion and equipment upgrades on their distribution center in SEYMOUR, IN. Construction is expected to start in late 2023, with completion slated for 2024.

    SOUTH CAROLINA:

    Specialty food mfr. is planning to invest $96 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a 145,000 sf processing facility at 131 Corporate Dr. in GAFFNEY, SC. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for Summer 2024.

    ALBERTA:

    Beverage company is expanding and planning to invest $70 million for the construction of a 60,000 sf warehouse on 23 Street N.E. in CALGARY, AB. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    FLORIDA:

    Beverage wholesaler is planning to invest $40 million for the expansion of their distribution center at 6031 Madison Ave. in TAMPA, FL by 500,000 sf. They are currently seeking approval for the project. 

    TEXAS:

    Mushroom grower is planning for the construction of a 258,000 sf processing facility at 11155 Westpark Dr. in HOUSTON, TX. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in late 2023, with completion slated for late 2024.

    NEW JERSEY:

    Bakery company is planning for the renovation and equipment upgrades on their processing facility in PENNSAUKEN, NJ. Completion is slated for 2025. They are also planning to relocate their distribution operations to a recently acquired 194,000 sf distribution center at 9130 Griffith Morgan Lane in PENNSAUKEN, NJ.

    NORTH CAROLINA:

    Beverage company is planning to invest $15 million for the expansion of their processing facility in MONROE, NC by 42,000 sf. Completion is slated for Fall 2024. 

    WISCONSIN:

    Pet food mfr. is planning for a 130,000 sf expansion of their processing facility in RICHFIELD, WI. They are currently seeking approval for the project.
