    Largest Planned Project

    During the month of January, our research team identified 4 new Distribution and Supply Chain facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned by Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA), who is planning to invest $480 million for the construction of a warehouse, office, and maintenance facility in QUEENS, NY. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for late 2026.

    Top 10 Tracked Distribution and Supply Chain Project Opportunities

    Tennessee:

    Tire mfr. is planning to invest $174 million for a 600,000 sf expansion and equipment upgrades at their manufacturing and distribution facility in DAYTON, TN. They have recently received approval for the project.

    Mississippi:

    Production studio is planning to invest $150 million for the construction of a sound stage complex, warehouse, and office facility on Mill St. in JACKSON, MS. Construction will occur in two phases. Construction of Phase I is expected to start in Spring 2023, with completion slated for late 2023.

    Louisiana:

    Film and production studio is planning to invest $100 million for a 262,600 sf expansion of their warehouse, storage, studio, and office complex in ALGIERS, LA. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    Indiana:

    Freightliner dealership is planning to invest $70 million for the construction of a 215,000 sf sales, service, and warehouse facility at 1631 W Thompson Rd. in INDIANAPOLIS, IN. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    Virginia:

    Flooring, countertop, and wall tile distributor is planning to invest $62 million for the construction of a 548,000 sf distribution center at 2821 Holland Rd. in SUFFOLK, VA. They have recently received approval for the project.

    Missouri:

    Fashion retail company is planning to invest $60 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a 604,000 sf distribution center in RAYMORE, MO. They have recently received approval for the project.

    Minnesota:

    Municipality is planning to invest $59 million for the construction of a 160,000 sf office, warehouse, vehicle maintenance, and storage campus on 145th St. W in ROSEMOUNT, MN. Construction is expected to start in Spring 2023. They will relocate agency operations upon completion in 2024. 

    South Carolina:

    Cold-chain logistics company is planning to invest $50 million for the construction of a warehouse facility at Patriot Blvd. in NORTH CHARLESTON, SC. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to begin in Summer 2023, with completion slated for late Summer 2024.

    New York:

    Logistics service provider is planning to invest $38 million for the construction of a 220,000 sf warehouse in VALLEY COTTAGE, NY. They are currently seeking approval for the project. 

    Alabama:

    Beverage distributor is planning to invest $33 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a warehouse and office facility at 401 N. Water St. in MOBILE, AL. They are currently seeking approval for the project. They will relocate their operations upon completion.
