    Largest Planned Project 

    During the month of February, our research team identified 7 new Distribution facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more. 

    The largest project is owned by Amazon, who is planning to invest $295 million for the construction of a 645,000 sf distribution center in BONDURANT, IA. Construction is expected to be complete in Summer 2021.

    TEXAS:

    Global online retailer is planning to invest $221 million for the construction of a 3.4 million sf distribution facility at 10507 Harlem Rd. in RICHMOND, TX. Completion is slated for late Summer 2021.

     

    TENNESSEE:

    Global shipping company is expanding and planning to invest $217 million for the construction of a 268,000 sf warehouse and distribution facility at 3675 Swinnea Rd. in MEMPHIS, TN. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for early 2022.

     

    OHIO:

    Real estate development company is planning to invest $150 million for the construction of a 1 million sf logistics park in NORTH BALTIMORE, OH. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

     

    INDIANA:

    Automobile mfr. is planning to invest $158 million for an expansion and equipment upgrades of their warehouse and manufacturing facility in LAFAYETTE, IN. Construction is expected to start in Summer 2020.

     

    ILLINOIS:

    Candy and confectionery mfr. is planning to invest $100 million for the construction of a 2 million sf distribution complex in DEKALB, IL. They expect to be operational in Spring 2021.

     

    KENTUCKY:

    Distillery is planning to invest $30 million for the construction of five warehouses in LEBANON, KY. They have recently received approval for the project.

     

    NORTH CAROLINA:

    Beverage distributor is planning for the construction of a 228,000 sf warehouse and distribution facility at 4435 Beam Rd. in CHARLOTTE, NC. They have recently received approval for the project. They will relocate operations upon completion in early 2021.

     

    NEBRASKA:

    Food processing company is planning for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a recently acquired 535,000 sf distribution facility in PAPILLION, NE.

     

    VIRGINIA:

    Water heater mfr. is planning to invest $78 million for a 592,000 sf expansion and equipment upgrades on a warehouse and manufacturing facility at 3000 John Deere Road in TOANO, VA. They have recently received approval for the project.

     

    COLORADO:

    Retail chain is planning for the construction of a 300,000 sf distribution facility in AURORA, CO. They are currently seeking approval for the project. The location will allow for a future 300,000 sf expansion.
