    Largest Planned Project 

    During the 4th quarter of 2019, our research team identified 12 new Power Generation and Energy construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more. 

    The largest project is owned by Sunflower Electric Power Corp., who is planning to invest $2 billion for the construction of an 895MW coal-fired power processing plant in HOLCOMB, KS. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

      

    Top 10 Tracked Power Generation and Energy Construction Projects 

    WYOMING:

    Renewable energy company is planning to invest $1 billion for the construction of a 277-turbine wind farm in ALBANY and CARBON COUNTIES, WY. They have recently received approval for the project.

     

    MINNESOTA:

    Energy company is planning to invest $700 million for the construction of a natural gas power plant in DULUTH, MN. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for 2025.

     

    GEORGIA:

    Energy company is planning to invest $500 million for the construction of a 1,000MW solar farm in SUMTER COUNTY, GA. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

     

    MICHIGAN:

    Solar energy company is planning to invest $150 million for the construction of a 149MW solar farm in CALHOUN COUNTY, MI. They have recently received approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in late 2019, with completion slated for Summer 2020.

     

    CALIFORNIA:

    Energy company is planning to invest $350 million for the construction of a lithium extraction processing facility in IMPERIAL, CA. Completion is slated for 2023.

     

    TEXAS:

    Solar energy company is planning to invest $250 million for the construction of a 273MW solar farm in GOLIAD, TX. They have recently received approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in Summer 2020, with completion slated for late 2021.

     

    ALBERTA:

    Solar energy company is planning to invest $200 million for the construction of a 130MW solar farm in CLARESHOLM, AB. Construction is expected to start in late 2019, with completion slated for late September 2020.

     

    CONNECTICUT:

    State agency is planning for the construction of an 804MW offshore wind facility at Bridgeport Harbor in BRIDGEPORT, CT. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

     

    ALBERTA:

    Energy company is planning to invest $105 million for the construction of a 40MW power and steam cogeneration facility in FOX CREEK, AB.
