    During the 2nd quarter of 2020, our research team identified 9 new Power Generation and Energy construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned by Photosol US, who is planning to invest $680 million for the construction of a 372 MW solar farm in WATERFLOW, NM. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in 2022, with completion slated for 2024. 

     

    Top 10 Tracked Power Generation and Energy Construction Projects

    WISCONSIN:

    Electric utility company is investing $390 million for the construction of a 300MW solar farm in IOWA COUNTY, WI. Construction will occur in phases, with completion of phase 1 slated for April 2021.

     

    TEXAS:

    Renewable energy company is planning to invest $500 million for the construction of a 500MW solar farm on a 1,300-acre site in LEON COUNTY, TX. Construction will occur in two phases. Construction is expected to start in early 2021, with completion of the first phase slated for Summer 2022.

     

    NEW YORK:

    Energy company is planning to invest $500 million for the construction of a natural gas-fired power plant in NEWBURGH, NY. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

     

    INDIANA:

    Renewable energy company is planning to invest $200 million for the construction of a 200 MW solar farm on a 1,400-acre site in LAKE COUNTY, IN. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in 2022.

     

    ILLINOIS:

    Renewable energy company is planning to invest $150 million for the construction of a 150 MW wind farm in KNOX COUNTY, IL. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for late 2021.

     

    FLORIDA:

    Electric utility service provider is planning for the construction of three solar farms in MANATEE COUNTY, FL, HARDEE COUNTY, FL and in ALACHUA COUNTY, FL. Completion is slated for late 2021.

     

    NEBRASKA:

    Renewable energy company is planning to invest $53 million for the construction of an 8 MW biomass power plant on a 17-acre site at Roth Industrial Park in SOUTH SIOUX CITY, NE.

     

    PENNSYLVANIA:

    Renewable energy company is planning to invest $47 million for the construction of two solar farms totaling 44MW in FRANKLIN COUNTY, PA. Completion is slated for 2021.

     

    SOUTH DAKOTA:
    Energy company is planning to invest $84 million for the construction of a 58MW natural gas-fired power plant in HURON, SD. Construction is expected to start in Summer 2020, with completion slated for late 2021.
