    Largest Planned Project

    During the month of November, our research team identified 5 new Food and Beverage facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned by J.M. Smucker Company, who is planning to invest $1 billion for the construction of a processing facility in MCCALLA, AL. Construction will occur in phases and is expected to start in early 2022, with completion slated for 2025.

    INDIANA:

    Pet food mfr. is planning to invest $200 million for the construction of a 700,000 sf processing facility in RUSHVILLE, IN. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    VIRGINIA:

    Snack food mfr. is planning to invest $123 million for the construction of a 490,000 sf warehouse and distribution center in RICHMOND, VA. The project includes a 68,000 sf expansion and equipment upgrades of their existing processing facility in RICHMOND, VA. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    IOWA:

    Soybean processor is planning to invest $72 million for an expansion of their processing facility in SIOUX CITY, IA. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for Fall 2023.

    MINNESOTA:

    Dairy company is planning to invest $60 million for the construction of a processing facility in GRACE TOWNSHIP, MN. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    NEW YORK:

    Wine distributor is planning to invest $40 million for the construction of a 500,000 sf production and warehouse facility in GOSHEN, NY. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    MISSOURI:

    Specialty ingredients mfr. is planning for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a recently leased 300,000 sf warehouse and distribution facility at 255 Logistics Center in ST. LOUIS, MO. They will relocate a portion of operations upon completion.

    FLORIDA:

    Fresh egg producer is planning to invest $23 million for the expansion of their processing and hatching facility in OKEECHOBEE, FL. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for early 2023.

    OHIO:

    Food products mfr. is planning to invest $18 million for equipment upgrades of a 144,000 sf processing facility on Charter St. in COLUMBUS, OH. Completion is slated for Fall 2022.

    COLORADO:

    Specialty food mfr. is planning to invest $10 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a 125,000 sf processing and warehouse facility in LOVELAND, CO. They will consolidate their operations upon completion in Summer 2022.

    NORTH CAROLINA:

    Food co-packing service provider is planning to invest $10 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a 63,000 sf warehouse and office facility in MIDDLESEX, NC. They have recently received approval for the project.
