    Largest Planned Project

    During the month of July, our research team identified 6 new Distribution and Supply Chain facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned by Dollar General Corporation, who is investing $172 million for the construction of a 1-million sf warehouse and distribution center in AURORA, CO. Construction is expected to start in early Fall 2022, with completion slated for late 2023.

    Oregon:

    Discount retail chain is planning to invest $168 million for the construction of a 1-million sf warehouse and distribution center in SALEM, OR. Construction is expected to start in Fall 2022.

    Massachusetts:

    Global shipping company is planning to invest $165 million for the construction of a 560,000 sf warehouse and distribution center on Galleria Mall Dr. in TAUNTON, MA. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    Kansas:

    Pet food mfr. is planning to invest $115 million for an expansion of their warehouse and processing facility in EMPORIA, KS. They are currently seeking approval for the project. The project includes the renovation and equipment upgrades on a recently leased 750,000 sf distribution center in EDGERTON, KS.

    Mississippi:

    Steel tube mfr. is planning to invest $110 million for the construction of a manufacturing, warehouse, and office facility at 1923 Airport Road in COLUMBUS, MS. Construction is expected to start in Fall 2022, with completion for Summer 2023.

    South Carolina:

    Outdoor power equipment mfr. is planning to invest $75 million for an expansion, renovation, and equipment upgrades on their warehouse and manufacturing facility in ANDERSON, SC. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    Georgia:

    Medical device mfr. is planning to invest $62.5 million for the construction of a warehouse, distribution, and manufacturing facility in JOHNS CREEK, GA. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    Indiana:

    Specialty food products mfr. is planning to invest $58 million for the expansion of their processing and cold storage facility in LEBANON, IN by 340,000 sf. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for late 2023.

    Michigan:

    Specialty food products mfr. is planning to invest $55 million for the construction of a 145,000 sf warehouse and processing facility in HOLLAND, MI. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in late 2022.

    Texas:

    Steel pipe mfr. is planning to invest $38 million for the construction of a 253,000 sf warehouse and manufacturing facility in SPLENDORA, TX. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    Florida:
    Aviation and logistics service provider is planning to invest $34 million for the construction of a 388,000 sf warehouse and distribution center and aircraft maintenance complex at Tallahassee Airport in TALLAHASSEE, FL. They are currently seeking approval for the project.
