    Largest Planned Industrial Construction Project

    During the month of May, our research team identified 35 new General Industrial facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned by Southern Rock Energy Partners, who is planning to invest $6 billion for the construction of a crude oil refinery complex in CUSHING, OK. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in 2024, with completion slated for 2027.

    Top 10 Tracked Industrial Construction Projects

    CALIFORNIA:

    Port Authority is planning to invest $4.7 billion for the construction of a wind turbine manufacturing facility in LONG BEACH, CA. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in early 2027, with completion slated for 2035.

    GEORGIA:

    Graphite product mfr. is planning to invest $800 million for the construction of a manufacturing facility in BAINBRIDGE, GA. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for 2025.

    TEXAS:

    Energy company is planning to invest $800 million for the expansion of their cryogenic processing plant in LOVING, TX. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for late 2024.

    WASHINGTON:

    Aviation fuel mfr. is considering investing $800 million for the construction of a biogas processing facility and currently seeking a site in WASHINGTON.

    NEW YORK:

    University is planning to invest $700 million for the construction of a 400,000 sf climate research and office facility in NEW YORK, NY. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in 2025, with completion slated for 2028.

    TEXAS:

    Specialty healthcare service provider is planning to invest $668 million for the construction of a 600,000 sf medical and laboratory facility at 1920 Old Spanish Trail in HOUSTON, TX. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in Fall 2023, with completion is slated for 2027.

    NEW YORK:

    Beverage company is planning to invest $650 million for the construction of a 745,000 sf processing facility on Tebor Rd. in WEBSTER, NY. Construction is expected to start in Fall 2023, with completion slated for late 2025.

    KANSAS:

    Renewable energy company is planning to invest $350 million for the construction of a solar farm on a 1,500-acre site in BARTON COUNTY, KS. They are currently seeking approval for the project. 

    INDIANA:

    Renewable energy company is planning to invest $250 million for the construction of a solar farm in RANDOLPH COUNTY, IN. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for 2024.

    MICHIGAN:

    Automotive mfr. is planning to invest $200 million for the construction of a 1 million sf EV component manufacturing facility in AUBURN HILLS, MI. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in Summer 2023, with completion slated for late 2024.
