Largest Planned Project

During the month of July, our research team identified six new Food and Beverage facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more. The largest project is owned by Producer Owned Beef, who is investing $670 million for the construction of a 750,000 square foot processing complex on Jackrabbit Road in Amarillo, Texas. Completion is slated for late 2026.

• Oregon: Meat product manufacturer is planning for the expansion of their processing, warehouse, and office facility at 4115 24th Avenue in Forest Grove, Oregon. Construction will occur in multiple phases. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

• Illinois: Snack food manufacturer is planning for the construction of a 227,000 square foot warehouse, office, and vehicle storage facility on Palm Road in Springfield, Illinois. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

• New Jersey: Food and beverage distributor is planning for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a recently acquired 105,000 square foot warehouse at 210 W. Commercial Avenue in Moonachie, New Jersey. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

• Ontario: Cheese manufacturer is planning to repurpose a processing facility to be used as a cold storage facility in Temiskaming Shores, Ontario. They are also considering the construction of a 70,000 square foot processing facility and currently seeking a site in the Temiskaming Shores or New Liskeard, Ontario area. • Nebraska: Produce company is planning to invest $11 million for the expansion of their processing and warehouse facility in Alliance, Nebraska. They have recently received approval for the project.

• California: Specialty food ingredient manufacturer is planning for the construction of a 66,000 square foot warehouse, processing, and office facility in Simi Valley, California. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

• Illinois: Fresh produce company is planning for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a recently leased 56,000 square foot processing, warehouse, and office facility at 3600 Lacey Road in Downers Grove, Illinois.

• Kansas: Meat processing company is planning for the construction of a processing facility in Fall River, Kansas. They are currently seeking approval for the project.
